Mary is a professional wedding singer and is much in demand as a soloist for liturgical occasions, funerals and special occasions, e.g. anniversaries, remembrance services and christenings. Mary also sings at corporate events.
Mary has been singing since she was in school and studied voice with the late Eithne Barror, Sr. Peter Cronin, and Mary Brennan. She has a vast repertoire of music which includes sacred to classical, contemporary to Celtic.
Mary has featured as a soloist on many recordings for the Archdiocese of Dublin. She also recorded a CD of Irish folk/traditional songs which was very favourably received and played on national radio.
Mary has appeared on national TV on numerous occasions, most notably the state funerals of the former Taoiseach Charles J Haughey, former President Patrick Hillery, and the re-interment of the volunteers executed during the War of Independence.
Mary was a soloist on the service of remembrance broadcast on RTE for victims of 9/11. She was also the soloist on the first ever TV broadcast from the chapel in the Rotunda Hospital, Dublin for midnight mass, Christmas Eve 2001.
Mary has sung for many dignitaries, including members of the government, judiciary and diplomatic corps. Mary is a cantor in St. Mary's Pro-Cathedral in Dublin and sings at the 6:00pm vigil mass on Saturday evenings on a regular basis.
..rarely have I heard a vocalist of such quality!
